CHAPTER 4
The importance of Jesus
There are those who say that Jesus is just a Word in the Father's mind (see
John 1:1) and he came forth when the Father spoke him into being. Jesus said
that he is from above and we are from beneath, (check John 8:23) yet we were
in the Father's mind also by reading Ephesians 1:4 which says, "According as
he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be
holy and without blame before him in love." So when Jesus says that he is from
above and we are from beneath (Ck. John 8:23,24) then if he was just the
Word in the Father's mind, and that made him from above then so were we
because we were in God's mind too. Is Jesus a liar or is he something entirely
different than just a Word in the Father's mind?
In John 6, Jesus talks about eating his flesh and drinking his blood to
have eternal life and he shows in the earlier part and in the latter part of
that chapter that believing and receiving him is eating and drinking. So if
Jesus isn't the Almighty God then you don't have to believe in God to
have eternal life (the highest kind of life possible), just believe in and
receive Jesus.
In 1 Peter 1:19; "But with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without
blemish and without spot."
What is so precious about the blood of Christ?
Let's cross this with Acts 20:28; "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to
all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost has made you overseers, to feed the
church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood."
Now that is pretty precious! The blood of God (?) but God is pure Spirit, he
doesn't have blood. That is true before he became a man. So I see that God as
God doesn't have blood but God as man does.
