The Triune God is with us...

John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

The bible talks about men's hearts failing them for fear...
Luke 21:26,
"26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."
I taught on fear a while back, it will be a big issue in these last days and the closer to get to the end, the bigger the fear will grow if we are NOT looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith..
Heb.12:2
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

John 14 cont
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
God became a man so he could free us from sin but it doesn't stop there, he wants us to live with him for all eternity and enjoy his life, the highest life possible...

John 14 cont
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus let them know that they knew the way cause they knew HIM whether they knew that to know him IS to KNOW the way, they didn't know that at the time...
In John 16, they knew that he came forth from the Father hence they knew where he was going back to the Father even though they didn't know what Jesus was talking about at the time...

John 16:28-30
"28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.
30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God."

John 14 cont
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Look at that statement in verse 7,
"7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also:..."
To know Jesus is to know the Father God, to know the Father God is to know Jesus...
The word makes it plain that no man has seen God yet it also tells us that no man can see God, the only answer is Jesus, we shall see him in his toned down state, so to speak, not in his full glory... Or God as a man since God as God is everywhere present and NO MAN can witness that, so to speak.

(John 1:18)
18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
(I Tim 6:16)
16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
(I John 4:12)
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
I want to focus deeper on
I Tim. 6:14-16
14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
It it would be like within the essence of God's being there are different degrees of light since he is light and where the strongest form of that light is then that is where Jesus Christ reigns since God is light, his essence which is everywhere present has no center since God has no end or bounds.. Since the word tells us that God is a Spirit and everywhere present as seen in ...
I Kings 8:27
"27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?"
Jer. 23:24
"24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD."

Remember Moses, he was with God for 40 days and nights and shone with the glory of God that the Israelites could not look upon him...

Exodus 33:17-20
"17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
18 And he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory.
19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live."

Exodus 34:29-35
"29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
31 And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
32 And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.
33 And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.
34 But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
35 And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him."

John 14 cont
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

We see two members of the Godhead here...

John 14 cont
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
I have argued this verse with a preacher one time. He asked me did I really think that I could do greater things than Jesus Christ. I told him to just read v. 14, especially the last 4 words.

John 14 cont
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
The third member of the triune God...

John 14 cont
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
Jesus gave them the Holy Ghost and they knew that he was who he claimed to be... NOW we can live in God and he in us... COOL!

John 14 cont
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

IF WE REALLY LOVE HIM, WE WILL OBEY HIM...
He tells us to love one another as he loves us, that we abstain from all appearance of evil, that we share his life and love with others, that we study, pray, seek his face...

John 14 cont
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

This is showing us clearly the nature of the triune God... Here we see that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost live within his people.

John 14 cont
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

He tells us that he leaves us with his peace but he AlSO tells us that we are NOT to LET our hearts be troubled or afraid. That shows free will, we can reject the peace, the life he offers at any time...

John 14 cont
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

My father is of a greater position than I but he is not better than I am. He is my father BUT he is a human as I am a human.
NOW apply that truth to the Father being God, the Son being God and the Holy Ghost being God and you might learn something really incredible or unique, so to speak.

John 14 cont
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

Jesus told the future to prove who he was and he proved it in many other ways...

John 14 cont
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Satan had nothing in Jesus, he was sinless but he has plenty in & on us unless we have been covered by the blood of the lamb.

John 14 cont
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

He obeyed his Father while he was here showing us to obey. He not only told us what to do, he showed us what to do.
